The Larch
I painted this series of paintings in 2013. I was inspired by the huge larch tree which was growing right in front of the window of my studio. Every time I came to studio I saw it outside my window.
I was fascinated by the larch that had been changing all year round. I could say, this was the beginning of my learning how to slow down and to concentrate on the very act of watching, to see the flow of time. I was interested in the structure of that tree, the great range of the hues and colors and its unique graphic existence in the space. Observing the nature that is constantly changing with the pass of time teaches you to live at the moment of "now and here".
